Brian Anthony Caruso

September 2, 1972 — June 10, 2018

Brian Anthony Caruso, 45, of Benbrook, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at his home.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A full Celebration of Life Service and Committal will be held in his home town of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada at a later date.

Brian was born on September 20, 1972, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada to Lorne and Marilyn Caruso. He was a life-long Hockey player and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth on a hockey scholarship. He was drafted in the third round (62nd Overall) of the 1991 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames and played professionally for four seasons with the Erie Panthers (ECHL), Saint John Flames (American Hockey League), the Fort Worth Fire (Central Hockey League) and the Fort Worth Brahmas (Western Professional Hockey League). 

Brian had a passion for fishing and spending time outdoors. Many of his fondest memories are fishing with his brothers and nephews in the many rivers and lakes in Thunder Bay. Most recently, Brian was Senior Project Manager for All Around Drywall Commercial Construction in Weatherford.

Brian is survived by his parents, Lorne and Marilyn Caruso; his brothers, Ian and wife, Jeannie Caruso, and Bradley and wife, Kelly Caruso, all of Canada; nieces and nephews, Mitchell, Matthew, Justin, Emily, Marlee, and Thomas Caruso; aunts and uncles, JoAnn and husband, Rick Yeo, Donna and husband, Ian Robinson, and Peter Humeniuk and partner, Pauline. Brian is also survived by several cousins.
