Buster Joe Morton

Buster Joe Morton, 85, passed from this life on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Buster was born January 31, 1937, in Kermit, Texas to J.V. Morton and Bill and Hallie B. Woods. All of his life, Buster was a logical, diligent worker, always striving for success in whatever he put his hands and heart to do. He owned and retired from a successful fabrication business in Weatherford, Texas. Buster was not a man of many words, but carried a strong opinion. His customers loved him due to his reputation of being reliable, fair, and conscientious. Buster was a member of New River Church in Hudson Oaks, Texas. His family and friends knew him to be down to earth, stable, upright and uncompromising. Other than his love and devotion for family and hard work, he enjoyed his dogs. They were his faithful companions and brought him much joy.

Buster is survived by his daughters, Linda Harris of Poolville, Texas, and Kathryn Rotter of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Brandie Bingham, Ross Harris, and Charles Vowels; and siblings, James Woods of Willow Park, Texas, and Susie Soria of San Diego, California.

A private memorial service has been scheduled for Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas, with burial to follow in Poolville, Texas.
