Byron Ray Maxwell, 52, beloved husband, father, and son, of Weatherford, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday evening, November 17, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 18, at North Side Baptist Church, 910 N. Main Street, in Weatherford. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens west of Weatherford.
Byron was born on October 2, 1969, in Fort Worth, to Harold and Juanita Maxwell. He married Sarah Lawrence on November 3, 2016. Byron loved his Lord and was an active member at North Side Baptist Church where he taught pre-teen and 1st Grade Sunday School. He was proud of winning 2nd place in the Chili Championship at church! Byron enjoyed playing various sports and games and was a huge Sponge Bob fan. Additionally, he loved all dogs and wildlife. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending concerts, and listening to hard rock. Byron will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and was loved by all. He was always humble and generous. Most of all, Byron will be remembered for being “the best father” and a devoted husband.
Byron is survived by wife, Sarah; his daughter, Brittany Maxwell; his stepchildren, Jordan, Jesse and Jeremiah McCaslin; his parents, Harold and Juanita Maxwell; his sister, Lori (Stephen) Schult; his brother, Eric (Crystal) Maxwell; nieces and nephews, Cameron, Ryan, Gracie, Madison and Miley; by many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and by his beloved granddog, Baloo.
