Carmen E. Harris, 70, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, in Fort Worth. She was the wife of Doyle Harris. They shared 37 years together.
Carmen was born December 28, 1951, in Weatherford Texas, and the daughter of Glen and Muriel Harris, stepfather, Waylon Scott.
She was a member of the House of NAM Church in Lake Worth. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her church family, cooking and hosting gatherings. She will be remembered for her love of Jesus, bold spirit, no nonsense approach and mostly her giving and loving nature. A true matriarch in every sense of the word.
She is survived by husband, Doyle Harris; sons, Jimmy Green and Shaun Harris; daughters, Josie Rickels and husband, Ivan, and Amber Chamblee and husband, Trevor; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; sister, April Vanaman; brothers, Ronnie and Dale Harris.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Charlie, Lonnie, Mike, and Harold; and son, Martin Allen Green.
The visitation will be held at Galbreath Pickard Funeral Chapel, Pastor Lens Walker officiating, 913 N. Elm St., Weatherford, Texas 76086, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022, and memorial 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to the construction efforts of the new House of NAM Church in Lake Worth, Texas.
