Carol Jean Don Carlos

  Carol Jean Don Carlos, age 83, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. She was born on September 25, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, to her loving parents, Lloyd and Imogene Chapman. Carol dedicated many years of her life to the banking profession, serving at First State Bank and Trust Tonganoxie with diligence and commitment.

  Her vibrant presence extended beyond the workplace as she actively engaged in various community activities. Carol was a familiar face at events by the Tonganoxie VFW, the 20th Century Women's Club, and the Weatherford Senior Center. She was also a regular attendee of Greenwood Baptist Church.

  Carol's adventurous spirit found joy in exploring new destinations through traveling, a passion that brought her profound happiness throughout her life. However, above all else, Carol's heart belonged to her family whom she loved dearly.

  She is survived by her son, Gregg Don Carlos, and his wife, Jenny; grandchildren, Brianna Rhodes and her partner, James Garon, Tristan Musgrave, Katlyn Don Carlos, and Jarret Don Carlos; great-granddaughter, Cora Leigh Garon; as well as numerous cousins and dear friends who held a special place in her heart.

  A memorial service honoring Carol's life will be conducted at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. 

  In remembrance of Carol's remarkable life and the love she shared with those around her, may she rest in eternal peace.
