Carol Litsey Halas

Carol Litsey Halas, age 89, of Weatherford went to be with the Lord January 19, 2018. Carol was born March 9, 1928 in Weatherford to Earl and Mary Pierce. She married John B. Halas from East Chicago, IN and had two wonderful children together. Carol retired after 28 years as a government employee in both procurement and shipping and receiving. She worked at Fort Wolters, Carswell AFB and GSA Fort Worth. She was a member of The Parker County Senior Citizens, enjoyed sewing and never missed an episode of Gunsmoke. Carol was very generous with kindness and her smiles. She always talked about tanks and ponds full of ducks having a reunion as if they were already in Heaven. Carol may you enjoy the reunion and the glory of your God. You will be greatly missed.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Patty Walters Benton and husband David; several grandchildren; multitude of great-grandchildren; and many amazing friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Halas; son, Tony B. Halas; father, Earl D. Pierce; and mother, Mary Irene Landis Pierce.

Funeral service 2:00pm Monday, January 22, 2018 at Westwood Christian Fellowship Church. Curtis Tucker will officiate. Interment Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation 3-5pm Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
