Carole Jean Collins

  Carole Jean Collins passed from this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at age 84. Carole was born February 6, 1939, in Belton, Texas, to the late A.D. (Jim) Ellis and Viola (Pratt) Ellis. She was also predeceased by her husband, Donald Marvin Collins; son, David Michael Collins, Sr.; sister, Marlene Trewin; and great niece, Kodie Gouge.

  Carole is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jeff Nelms; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Diane Collins; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Angie Collins; grandsons, Jason Nelms, David Michael Collins, Jr., and Matthew Akers; granddaughter and husband, Tracy and Joe Lee; great-grandson, Chanse Lee; sister, Elora McCullers; special nieces who helped in her care, Glenda Harry and Michelle Bottom; and other loving relatives.

  Carole was a member of Horseshoe Bend Baptist Church; she will be remembered for her love of travel and playing golf. Carole was owner of Bell Cleaners and Collins Cleaner in Fort Worth, Texas.

  A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Horseshoe Bend, at 11:00 a.m., December 9, 2023, with inurnment at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
