Charlene P. Burr

Charlene P. Burr, 72, of Weatherford, formerly of Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 22, 2019. All services will be private at a later date.

Charlene July 28, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia to John and Ethel Purmont. She was married to Philip Burr for over 40 years who had two children from a previous marriage – Lauren Burr Miller and Christopher Burr. Charlene was a devout Christian and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Forest Park, Georgia. She enjoyed listening to music as well as playing the piano and organ. She studied both ballet and tap dancing. Most of all, Charlene will be remembered for her love of her family and friends.

Charlene is survived by her nieces, Sharon Llorca and Debra Megli; three nephews, Lee Purmort, Micky Trammell, and Paul Swiney; her aunt, Joyce Washington; and by her sister-in-law, Sarah Purmort. She also leaves behind several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Burr, and by her brother, sister, and a niece. She will be missed by her family and friends.
