Charles Benjamin Englert, Jr.

May 23, 1929 — August 4, 2014

Charles Benjamin Englert, Jr. went home to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, August 04, 2014.  Born May 23, 1929 in Sparlingsville, MI to Charles B. and Mary Ann “Dollie” Englert; Chuck was the baby of seven children.  He married his high school sweetheart, Isabelle Graham in Port Huron MI.  Chuck served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  After returning home, he served as Chief Deputy Sheriff of Otsego County, MI.  Chuck and Isabelle relocated to Weatherford in 1973, where they continued to raise their four children.  Chuck worked for Frost Oil as a diesel truck driver before becoming a prison guard at CNA Prison in Mineral Wells.  Chuck was a member of Ball Street Baptist Church.  He will be greatly missed.  “He loved me Lord God with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his strength, and with all his mind; and his neighbor as himself.”
Chuck leaves behind his bride of almost 64 years Isabelle Englert; children Cheryl Anderson and husband Robert of Weatherford; Charles F. Englert and friend Angie of Weatherford; Todd A. Englert of Weatherford; Nancy Y. Ard and husband Terry of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Sr. and Dollie; and sisters Jane Louks, Margaret Shaw, Annette Vertican and Irma Kazmeyer.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Zion Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please give to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org
