Charles "Charlie" Michael Walker

Charles “Charlie” Michael Walker, 72, of Weatherford, went to Heaven on Monday evening, April 26, 2021. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, April 30, 2021, at Authon Cemetery, 1000 Garner-Adell Road, west of Weatherford, Texas.

Charlie was born October 17, 1948, in Fort Worth, to Charlie J. and Benie Ruth Walker. On July 21, 1976, Charlie married Charnell Swanzy. Charlie was a long-time Mason and was a member of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge #275, A.F. & A.M, as well as a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church. Charlie was a local builder who built both residential and commercial buildings in the area. 

Charlie loved going to garage sales and collecting all sorts of ‘interesting’ artifacts. He also enjoyed building cabinets, furniture, and many other hand-made works of art. Most of all, Charlie will be remembered for his deep Christian faith and for his loving devotion to his family.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Charnell; his children, Michael and wife, Deana Walker, and Erin and husband, Josh Riley; and by his grandchildren, Mason, Jack, Sydney, Emily, Kate, and Caleb.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded to Heaven by his granddaughter, Hannah.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to either the Cal Farley Boy’s Ranch or to the Samaritan’s Purse.
