Charles Hudson Lingle, 72, of Aledo, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, at his home.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, October 20, at the Aledo Church of Christ, 201 FM-1187, in Aledo. Burial will follow at Annetta Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8, Friday evening, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 E. I-20 Service Road North in Willow Park.
Charles was born May 12, 1946, in Mobile, Alabama to Harvey and Marcel Lingle. Charles had a ‘mechanical mind’ and worked through college with the Corps of Engineers. He went to work for Texas Instruments and later for the Federal Aviation Administration for the last 35 years. Charles could ‘fix anything’ that moved including his many cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed sailing and traveling the country in his RV. Charles was both humble and respected by everyone who met him and will be remembered for both his good nature and sense of humor. He was always supportive of his family and took particular interest in his grandchildren’s activities. Charles also spent many weekends watching his wife Marcy compete with their dogs at dog agility trials.
Charles is survived by his wife, Marcy; his children, Stewart and wife Marlana Lingle and Angela and husband Brandon Ferguson; his grandchildren, Christian, Adeline, and Ava Elizabeth; his brothers, Kenny and Garry Lingle; by his mother-in-law, Dorothy Hickman; and by his beloved dog, Bo.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death his first wife, Elizabeth.
