Charles P. (Sonny) Johnson

Charles P. (Sonny) Johnson, 64 of Weatherford finished the race and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 13, 2006.  Sonny was born in Mineral Wells and moved to Weatherford at a young age. He graduated from Weatherford High in 1961 coincidently one of the only numbers you can turn upside down and is still the same.   Sonny started Johnson’s Fence Company in 1969 and operated this successful fence company until cancer forced him to part-time in 2001.  He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Johnson of Weatherford; sons, Scott Johnson and wife Amelia of Peaster and Matt Johnson of Peaster; mother, Murl Chandler and husband Eldon of Weatherford; sisters, Shari Scoggin and husband Harry of Weatherford and Linda Wiggs and husband Marx of Weatherford; brother; Mike Johnson and wife Darbi of Fort Worth   two grandchildren, Parker and Misty Johnson of Graford and Jessica Johnson of Wichita Falls; two great grandchildren, Christian and Coy of Graford; Graveside: 10:00 am Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in the Dilbeck Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
