Charles Ray Turner, 63, of Weatherford, died Friday April 13, 2007, at his residence. Born August 29, 1943, in Fort Worth, he was a resident of Parker County for many years. Charles was a self employed carpet layer, an Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and a member of SE 1st Baptist Church.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Virgie Turner; brothers, Tommy and Carlos Turner; and a sister, Addy Turner.   

Charles is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shella Turner of Weatherford; daughters, Mary Herron and husband, Corey of Boyd, Sandra Thomas and husband, Brandon of Weatherford, and Tracy Burns and husband, Bill of Mineral Wells; son, Eugene Turner and wife, T.J. of Whitt; sister, Beverly Turner of Weatherford; brothers, Gerald Turner and wife, Virginia of Granbury and Johnny Turner of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Kyle, Tommy, Lacee, Chance, Sarah, Hannah, Nathaniel, John, Kayleigh and Allen. 

Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 16, 2007, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bob Branch officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
