Christy Ann Craven

Christy Ann Craven, 66, of Graford, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, February 7, in Mineral Wells.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, February 13, 2019, from 6 until 8, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Thursday, February 14, at 11 A.M. at the Zion Hill Community Center north of Weatherford.
Christy was born September 16, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas to Thomas and Davye Sue Heard. She married Norman Craven on September 20, 1980. Christy was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Possum Kingdom Woman’s Club, and served meals for the Charlies’ Angels Senior Center. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Christy was always willing to “give to anyone who was in need” and was “greatly appreciated by all who were privileged to know her.” Most of all, Christy will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Christy is survived by her husband, Norman; her children, Keith and wife Leanne Busby and Melinda and husband Brian Meador; step-daughters, Jennifer and husband Bobby Stults and Christine Loughman; her grandchildren, Kathleen, Michelle, Peyton, Emma, Greyson, Brianna, and Blake; her great-grandson, Braxton; and by her brother, Thomas Heard and sister, Cindy Clark.
In addition to her parents, Christy was preceded in death by her sisters, Sherry Jacoby and Barbara Ashley and by her grandmother, Elva Turnwall.
