Clara Shelton, a long-time resident of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully after a short stay in the hospital due to a stroke she suffered on the 20th.
Clara is survived by her son, Richard and wife, Lou; daughter, Elizabeth; son-in-law, Jim Gordon; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene and daughters, Jeanie and Mary.
Clara loved her family, friends, and pets. She was very active her entire life and could be found gardening, reading or watching game shows. She was a very skilled seamstress and made drapes for Camp David during the Bush administration, and her work was featured in Southern Living magazine.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Santo North Cemetery, 13100 FM 4, Santo, Texas 76472.
