Claude D. Martin

Claude D. “Marty” Martin, age 82, of Weatherford, died early Thursday morning, December 13, 2012 at his residence.  Born August 8, 1930 in Baseline, Michigan, a resident of Weatherford for several years.  He was an Orthopedic Technician and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force where he served proudly for 23 years.  Marty loved all sports, traveling, fishing and bowling.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Martin and a sister, Gail.  The family would like to thank Mission Hospice for their loving care.

Survivors: Wife – Billie Martin of Weatherford; daughters – Kathy Smith of Georgia and Debbie Marbut of Mineral Wells; son – Alan Martin of Arlington; 6 Grandchildren – Annmarie, Ryan, Melissa, Alex, Leslie, Lori and 5 Great Grandchildren.

A private service will be held with full military honors at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
