Claudine “Frenchie” Baxter, 80, of Aledo, passed away early on Thursday, October 12, 2017, in Fort Worth. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 P.M., on Monday, October 16, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Cremation will follow.
Claudine was born September 8, 1937, in France, to Aloise and Martha Biorckhardt Karman. Claudine married Roger Baxter in January 1969. She enjoyed shopping, tanning, gardening, and traveling to her native Charmont, France. Claudine was a hard worker who “would do anything for anybody.” She retired as a food service specialist after 20 years from Aledo ISD and Brock ISD. Most of all, Claudine will affectionately be remembered for being a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always devoted to her family.
Claudine is survived by her sons, Thomas P. Nix, Michael J. (Bernedette) Nix, and Duane (Beckie) Baxter; grandchildren, Kevin and Corey Nix, and Kayla, Kenzie, DeWynter, Brice, Lyndsie, and Makalia Baxter; 8 great-grandchildren; and by her siblings, Ernest, Jacquline, and Jeannine.
In addition to her parents, Claudine was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Baxter; and by six siblings.
