Clay John Flores Carballo, age 72, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was born on September 15, 1951, in Okinawa, Japan, U.S. Army Base, to Dominador Carballo and Matea Flores. Clay earned a bachelor's degree from Texas A & M, and dedicated his career to serving as a parks and recreation director.
Clay's love for his family was profound, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Carballo of Weatherford, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law, Clay John Carballo and Paula Carballo; stepson, Eric Dawson; stepdaughter and her husband, Victoria Dawson-Miller and Rocky Miller; as well as his grandchildren, Paul Woolam, Sean Miller, and Skylar Miller.
In addition to his parents, Clay was preceded in death by his sister, Cecilia Carballo Putman, and brother, Cornelio Carballo.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., both at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.
