Coy Ishmeal McNiel Jr.

Coy Ishmeal McNiel Jr., passed away at age 74, Saturday, April 9, 2022. Coy was born on January 31, 1948, to Coy Ishmeal McNiel Sr. and Helen Louise Beauchamp.

Coy proudly served his country in the United States Army with special recognition as he received numerous medals including, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Leaf, Combat Medical Badge, and Purple Heart in December of 1969. He took pride in his career as a private investigator and police officer, he worked for the North Richland Hills and Weatherford Police Department. He was a devoted born again Christian. Coy was a family first man with extreme integrity, intense loyalty, and love, creating a legacy to be continued by his family. He adored his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Coy was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Rickiey McNiel. 

Coy is survived by his sons, Shannon McNiel and wife LeAnn, Aaron McNiel and wife Nicole; sisters, Connie Bunn and husband Larry, Carlotta Parson and husband James, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Monday April 18, 2022, 6:00 - 8:00pm. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Service: Tuesday April 19, 2022, 2:00 - 3:00pm. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
