Cynthia "Cindy" J. Ponder

  Cynthia "Cindy" Joan Ponder, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1943, in Gloversville, New York, to Clinton and Frances (Pelcher) Hoffman.

  In 1970, Cindy met the love of her life, James W. Ponder, and they married soon after on December 18, 1970. Together, they shared over 50 wonderful years, creating a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her generous heart and caring spirit.

  Cindy enjoyed a successful career as a territory manager for Bunge Foods, where she worked for over 20 years. Outside of her professional life, she expressed her artistic talent through painting, creating beautiful works that reflected her creativity.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Frances Hoffman, and her siblings, Harry Hoffman and Marilyn Williams.

  Cindy is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Ponder, of Weatherford, Texas; her three children and their spouses, Keith and Sherry Clark, Kevin and Marina Clark, and Christi Ponder and Angela Marsh; five beloved grandchildren, Tristen Clark, Tiffany Clark, Hunter Clark, Dakota Clark, and Amanda Wehunt; and her sisters, Joanne Wiesner, Caroline Weil, Sadye Goodemote, and Penny Oliver.

  No formal services are planned at this time.

  Cindy will be remembered for her warm smile, artistic talents, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
