D. Sam Grant

D. Sam Grant, 81, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012.  He was born July 20, 1931 in Shelby, North Carolina to D. L. Grant and Jessie Burgess Grant.
Mr. Grant was a retired United States Air Force Senior Master Sergeant with 39 years of service to his country, and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Weatherford.
Sam was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Grant; sisters, Wanda Gettys and Ella Mae Parrish; step-mother, Ruby Grant; father, D. L. Grant and mother, Jessie Grant.
Survivors include a son, Stuart Grant and wife, Keri; grandson, Sammy Grant; siblings, Whitey Bridges, Pat Mc Swain, Barbara Ann Lail, Billy Grant, Randy Grant, Jane Venter and Dot Curry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Thursday in the Galbreaith
Pickard Funeral Chapel.  Visitation is from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the
funeral home.  Burial will be at 2 PM Thursday at Dallas Fort Worth
National Cemetery.
