Dannelle Barnes, 75, of Weatherford, passed away early Thursday, January 26, 2017. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 30, at the Wampler Cemetery, east of Weatherford.
Dannelle was born October 11, 1941 in Weatherford. She was one of two children born to Daniel and Ilona Durrett. Dannelle married Jessie Barnes. Dannelle a member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Deming, NM and was a devout Christian her entire life. She enjoyed watching old Western movies, traveling, cross-stitching, her pet Pugs over the years, and was an avid history buff. She will also be remembered for her quick and witty sense of humor. Most of all, Dannelle will affectionately be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, and a new great-grandmother who was always devoted to her family.
Dannelle is survived by her children, Jennifer (Mike) Miller and Tracy (Allie) Calhoun; her grandchildren, Blake and Cole Miller, Nicole and Brooke Calhoun, and Chelsea Vizvary; great-grandson, Luke Carter Miller; her brother, Duane (Anita) Durrett; and by her cousins, Larry Fowler, Douglas Hamilton, Connie McNutt, Sue Moore, and Terry Johnson.
In addition to her parents, Dannelle was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Barnes.
