Daphne (Stanford) Rawdon

Daphne (Stanford) Rawdon, 85, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023. Daphne was born on October 18, 1937, in Norwich, England. She came to the US as a young woman to start a new life. She started her family and worked many years in the school food industry. She retired as a Cafeteria Manager from the Fort Worth ISD. Daphne was a member of South Main Church of Christ, in Weatherford. She enjoyed cooking and baking and especially gardening. Daphne loved both of her countries and continued the English traditional afternoon tea.

Daphne was preceded in death by the Love of her life husband, Hubert Rawdon, Jr., son, John Lewis and her nephew in England, Christopher Hare.

Daphne is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hankey and husband, Bob of Weatherford, Texas; two grandchildren, Shanda Lovell and husband Jeremy of Burleson, Texas, and Krista Cohlmeyer and husband Justin of Arlington, Texas; and sister, Ann Hall and husband, Allan of Norwich, England. She is also survived by two great grandchildren Tripp and Skylar.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday January 23, 2023 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

Her graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060.
