Daryl Edward Clay, Sr., age 66, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, to James Clay and Shirley (McPeak) Clay. Daryl dedicated his career to the trucking industry as a dispatcher. Known for his love of family and friends, Daryl had a passion for race cars, quarter scale race cars, and flying remote control helicopters. An enthusiast of football and pool, he also shared his gift of singing with those closest to him, leaving a lasting memory for his love of music.
In addition to his parents, Daryl was predeceased by his wife, Debra Jane Clay.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daryl E. Clay, Jr. and Magean; his daughter, Stacie Mullins; grandchildren, Tyler, Bradyn, and Gracie; great-grandchildren, Jax and Jessie; siblings, Terry Webb, Nancy Woodall, Becky Holt, David Clay, and Darla Schramm; as well as nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to honor and remember Daryl's life will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Greenwood Community Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
