David Brian Hamilton

On February 8, 2021, David Brian Hamilton went to be with our Lord. He is no longer incumbent by earthly restraints and at peace on the Lord’s right hand. David was 46 years old and a lifelong resident of Weatherford and Parker County.

David was a proud father of four beautiful children of which he adored Skyler Nicole, Kaylee Michelle, Lauren Jean, and Jaxson Brian. His children will always affectionately remember him for 4 wheeler rides, hunting trips, and Disney Land.

David worked at the family business all his adult life, Hamilton Wholesale Meats, with his father Billy, mother Wilma, brother Shane, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Linda Lynch.

David is survived by his children: Skyler, Kaylee, Lauren and Jaxson Hamilton; mother, Wilma; brother, Shane and wife, Kati, all of Weatherford; and grandmother, Louise Gibson of Redwater, Texas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

It is the families wish that lives could be changed through awareness of the affects of drug and alcohol addiction, depression and suicide awareness. Those that struggle through this life need the support and love of family. If you have someone in your family or just in your life tell them they are loved before it is too late. The family hopes that David’s passing can be a calling to help those living with substance abuse and to raise suicide awareness. 

David was a sweet man with a heart bigger than his body. He battled addiction tirelessly and still radiated glimmers of the true David everyone knew and loved. It is our hope that we can combat damaging societal ideologies placed on addicts. People living with addiction are still people that are worthy of compassion and capable of recovery. It was our wish that David would return rehabilitated and sober, but now we reframe that wish and hope you can love on those struggling in your lives a little more.
