David F. Smeltzer, Sr., age 54, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. David was born on June 9, 1960, in England, where his father was serving in the military. He was the son of Bill and Charlene Smothers. Mr. Smeltzer was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving from 1977 – 1981. He was married to Catherine Ann Coffee on January 3, 1984. He had three sons, William, David, and Luke.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Cathie; sons, William, David, and Luke; parents, Bill and Charlene Smothers; his sisters, Velma Phillips, Kathy James, and Susan Jordan; as well as grandchildren, Haley, Tyler, Savannah, Heather, and Victoria; many beloved nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Hilltop Baptist Church, with Pastor Jim Barron officiating.
