David Hunt passed away at his home Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in Weatherford at age 63 with his family by his side. David Albert Hunt was born Oct. 17, 1947, to Jessie and Lura Belle Hunt in Gorman. David grew up in Gorman and graduated from Gorman High School in 1965. He moved to Fort Worth shortly after graduation. David received a computer science degree from Fort Worth College in 1966. In 1983, he moved to Jackson, Miss., to work for Haynes Brinkley Insurance. David moved back to Texas in 1990 to care for his elderly mother. In 2005 David became a truck driver for CRST and later US Xpress. David was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Debra Hunt Winters. His survivors include his brother, Robert Hunt of Ennis; daughter, Laura Hunt of Granbury; granddaughters, Jessica, Carrie and Holly Winters; great-granddaughter, Kylie Sparkman, all of Granbury; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
A service celebrating David's life will be held at noon Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Dos Equis Ranch in Jacksboro.
