David Lee Dyer

David Lee Dyer, age 67, departed this life Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Medical City of Weatherford. David was born August 6, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Robert Dyer and Lavon (Daugherty) Dyer. After high school, David made a career in the trucking industry. He retired earlier this year from Texas Building Products in Strawn, Texas. David enjoyed fishing and hunting as his hobbies, but he took delight in making his family the center of his life and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a way of expressing his great love for his children, his grandchildren, and his bonus children and grandchildren. David was affectionately known as the family's gentle giant. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Ronda (Parson) Dyer of Graford, Texas; daughter, Leslee Sparks; son, Jarrod Dyer; sisters, Rebecca Byrd, Loretta Sills, and Jean Palmer; seven grandchildren, Tanner Sparks, Adam Sparks, Zack Sparks, Keythan Sparks, Paislee Dyer, Ashton Dyer, and Haylee Dyer; and numerous loving family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Leroy Dyer; and his sister, Teresa Brown.

A Celebration of Life Service with reception will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom Lake, 200 S. State Highway 16, Graford, Texas 76449. Food will be provided.
