David Lynn Chandler, age 62, of Mineral Wells, died Monday afternoon, October 3, 2011, in Mineral Wells. Born July 15, 1949, in Sherman, Texas, a resident of Weatherford for many years.
He was a Broker Agent for Cheetah Transportation, former truck driver and he served in the National Guard. He was a pastor for Good News Revival Center in Weatherford and he loved fishing and hunting.
David was preceded in death by his father, O. D. Chandler; brother, Kenneth Chandler; and nephew, Blake Austin Chandler.
Survivors: wife, Dru Chandler of Mineral Wells; step-sons, Christopher Sell of Mineral Wells, and Nicholas Sell of Rockford, Ohio; mother, Margaret Chandler of Weatherford; sisters, Wanda Caldwell and husband, Jimmy of Midlothian, Norma Phillips and husband, Johnny of Weatherford, and Ruby Havins and husband, Rodney of Kilgore; brother, Quinden Chandler and wife, Kim of Kennedale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2011, in the Galbreaith Pickard Chapel, with interment in East Greenwood. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, at the funeral home.
