Deborah "Debbie" Ann Lewis

  Our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Deborah "Debbie" Ann Lewis, 69, passed away on January 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

  Debbie was born on October 22, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, to Maurice and Janice Kelley. She grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas and attended Grand Prairie High School. She met the love of her life and best friend, Gerald "Gerry" Wayne Lewis, in 1980 at the Silver Saddle and they were married for 44 years. Together, they raised two children, Crystal and Steven. Debbie worked for the United States Postal Service as a window clerk and retired after 26 years of service.

  Debbie's greatest accomplishment was her family and she loved being a mother, grandmother and wife. You could always find her taking pictures at every family gathering, special occasion or road trip, even though we would find it annoying at the time, she always reminded us that she was capturing memories that we would later treasure...how right she was! Debbie never turned down a trip to the casino and enjoyed playing the slot machines with her husband. Debbie also enjoyed watching and rooting for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys on television and rarely missed a game.

  As many would agree, Debbie was a loving, caring and strong woman. She had many battles in life, including surviving breast cancer at age 50. No matter her troubles, she always kept fighting for us. She was the pillar of our family, the highlight of our gatherings, and will be greatly missed.

  We are blessed knowing that she's with our Heavenly Father and reunited with her mother, who she greatly missed.

  Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Gerry Lewis; daughter, Crystal Pfeil and husband, Benjamin; son, Steven Lewis; granddaughter, Trinity Pfeil; and numerous family members and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Gibson; step-father, David Gibson and her father, Maurice Kelley.

  To respect her wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for prayers of peace and comfort during this hard time.
