Deborah Jean Jones, 70, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of Weatherford, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday afternoon, December 8, 2021, at her home.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M., on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Greenwood Baptist Church in Weatherford. Burial will be private.
Deborah was born on New Year’s Day, in 1951, to Thurman and Claudia Lee. On August 29, 1969, Deborah married Joseph T. Jones and together had three children, Lloyd, Alanna, and Yvonne. She got her nursing degree in 1987 and worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at Hugley Hospital. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. Jean and Joe were members of the Christian Motorcycle Association and together road all across the United States. She was an excellent cook, and it was her dream to one day open her own Bed-and-Breakfast. Most of all, Jean will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family – particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her husband, Joe of 52 years; her children, Lloyd Jones (Alicia) of Azle, Texas, Alanna Jones-Chism (Justin Chism) of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Yvonne Jones of Weatherford, Texas; her grandchildren, Brandon, Mitchell, Dale, Marcus, Randy, Danica, Allie, Zachary, Emma, Abby, and Savannah; great-grandchildren, John, Dawson, Alexis, Conner, and Aspen; and by her sisters, Mary Moore of Decatur, Alabama and Ellen Rodriquez of Athens, Alabama.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
