Delma Dee Simmons

Delma Dee Simmons, 81, of Weatherford, passed away early on Saturday, February 11, 2017, in Weatherford.
Funeral service: 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
Delma was born November 8, 1935 in Rule, Texas to Wesley and Stella Tanner. She married Sammie Simmons and together had three sons. Delma proudly served her country in the offices of the U.S. Navy. She will most affectionately be remembered for being devoted to her family and for being a loving wife and mother.
Delma is survived by her husband Sammie of 62 years; her sons, David James (Kathleen) Simmons, Jonathan Sammie Simmons, Daniel Dee (Shelly) Simmons; her grandchildren, David, Jr., Joshua, Brian, Kirtis, Jonathan (Sarah), Rebecca, and Matthew; and by her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Chase, Attius, Jackson, Jenna, Kyo, and Koko.
In addition to her parents, Delma was preceded in death by her sister, Cleva Anderson.
