Delores Ann McKinley

Delores Ann McKinley, 79, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at her residence after battling terminal cancer, Multiple Myeloma, bravely for her last years. She was born September 4, 1941, in Alice, Texas, to Henry and Evelyn Pye Collins. 

Delores retired from Weatherford ISD after teaching for 41 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Alpha Delta Phi, a proud member of Weatherford College Coyote Basketball Booster Club, and a great supporter of WC sports. Delores was a devoted wife and mother, had a fondness for animals and a love for everyone she met…except referees, which she referred to as “Hockey Pucks.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Collins. 

Delores leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Bob McKinley; son, Trey McKinley and wife, Rochelle; daughter, Traci McKinley; grandchildren, Kali McKinley, Tommy McKinley, Hyatt McKinley, Alex Benson, and Evelyn Belle Benson.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, also at Galbreaith Pickard.
