Denise Elaine Maserang

Denise Howard Maserang, 73, of Lubbock, formerly of Garner, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in Lubbock.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, September 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913. N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, Texas. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., at the South Main Church of Christ, in Weatherford. Burial will follow at Ballew Springs Cemetery.

Denise was born December 14, 1947, in Bryan, Texas, to Rowe and Connie Howard. She attended Garner School and Millsap High School and graduated from Texas Tech University. Denise was a long-time member of the South Main Church of Christ and later South Plains Church of Christ in Lubbock. She was a faithful student of God’s Word. She enjoyed many hobbies including reading, traveling, sewing, quilting, and antiquing. She loved the beauty of nature, whether it be a bird visiting a feeder outside her window or a sunset on her back porch in Garner. Denise enjoyed entertaining friends and family at her home and volunteering for various charities. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, carving time out for special days with each grandchild and helping them study for upcoming spelling bees.

Denise is survived by her children, Erin (Josh) Jones of Weatherford and Lesley (Chad) Montandon of Lubbock; and by her grandchildren, Kellen, Bonnie, Noelle, Ezra, and Ivy.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents.
