Don Carlton Puryear

Born to earthly life December 27, 1947 and into eternal life June 19, 2022.

Don was a lifelong resident of Weatherford, Texas. He was a graduate of Weatherford High School, and North Texas State University and served in the Army. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, getting together with family, meeting his friends at Railhead, watching sports, and dog sitting Benson and his grand dog, Billy. A simple yet complex man, Don's quick wit and sharp humorous spirit remain with us, in the happy memories we chose to remember and honor.

Preceded in death by parents, J.P. Pope and Melba Puryear, and wife, Judy Cortez Puryear.

Survived by brother, Scott Puryear (Sheila); daughter, Lori Crepps (Jim); son, Mark Cortez (Rosie); grandchildren, Jade Moen (Matt), Dylan Crepps (Lindsey), and Sophie and Mia Cortez.

Visitation: Friday, July 1, 2022, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N Elm St., Weatherford, Texas 76086.
