Donald Alvin Brooks

Donald Alvin Brooks, 74, of Weatherford, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Willow Park Nursing and Rehab in Willow Park.
 
Donald was born on May 13, 1941 in Kingsburg, California.  He married Eddie Leach and together had two sons, Chad and Brian.  Donald retired from the Miller Electric Manufacturing Company and will be remembered as a ‘hard worker.’  He enjoyed out-door activities including hunting and fishing.  Most of all, Donald cherished time spent with his family and particularly loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.  
 
Donald is survived by his wife, Eddie Brooks; sons, Chad (Lisa) Brooks of Weatherford and Brian (Athena) Brooks of Parker, Colorado; five grandchildren, Ashton, Tyler, Zshael, Elijah, and Jaycie.  
 
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Brooks; his brothers, Lloyd Brooks and Dale Brooks; nephew, David Brooks; and by his niece, Janice Paine.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford.
 Visitation will be held from 1:00 until the time of the service, Sunday, at the funeral home. 
Burial committal services will be held at 10:00 A.M., at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
