Donald Eugene Allen

Donald Eugene Allen finished this life on January 13, 2009 after a reoccurrence of cancer. He was grateful for 7t/2 years of good health after the first bout with the dreaded disease. A Memorial service will held at Trinity Bible Church, 4936 Interstate 20 at 2:00 p.m., January 24th with pastor Jon Sherman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Bible Church. Don's last days were spent at home being attended to with love and lots of TLC by his wife of 55 years, Nickie and his three daughters and their families. Integra Hospice provided excellent support. Don worked 13 years in the insurance business as a claims examiner and started building houses on the side. Don and Nickie bought a paint and decorating business in Cleburne, TX while Don continued his building business. He built Windsor House for his wife to manage and only retired totally from building 2 years ago. Don loved sports, especially baseball and avidly watched the football games until only a few days before his death.  He is survived by his wife, Nickie Allen; daughters, Erin Ratliff and husband Tim of Round. Rock, TX and their children, Kelsey and Kyle; Linda Clark and husband Bart and grand daughter Lindsey of Grandview, TX; and daughter, Jane Allen of Littleton, CO. Don was at total peace with leaving this life and had complete trust in the Father's gift of His Son to cover us for life eternal with Jesus Christ our Lord.
