Donald Lee Strait, Sr., 81, of Weatherford passed away Friday, November 29, 2019, at his residence. Graveside service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in Paradise Cemetery, with Bro. Larry Deel officiating. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Donald was born October 4, 1938, in Stuart, Nebraska to Clarence and Grace Strait. He was a former employee of Hamilton Tires in Mineral Wells as well as Upham Oil and Gas. He was a member of The Church in Peaster, loved gardening and fishing. Most of all, Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, especially doting over his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife and mother of his children, Essie JoAnn Strait; daughter, Yolanda Strait; granddaughter, Tina Strait; great grandson, Mason Hendrix; as well as his parents.
Donald leaves behind his loving wife, Faye; children, Sandra Cooper-Ham and husband, James, Dennis Strait, JoAnn Caraway, Donald Strait, Jr. and wife, Dawn, David Strait, Sr. and wife, Lisa, and Zonna VanHorn and husband, Mike; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
