Donald Glenn McCarty

Donald Glenn McCarty, 62, of Peaster, passed away on January 2nd, 2021, in a Fort Worth hospital. He was born June 26th, 1958, in San Gabriel, California, to Donald Ray and Mary Sparkman McCarty. 

Glenn graduated from Weatherford High School in 1976 where he met his high school sweetheart, Becky Wallis. They were married on August 26th, 1978, and celebrated 42 years of marriage this past August. Glenn was an Operations Manager for Layne Glass and a faithful member of The Church in Peaster. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray McCarty. 

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Becky; children, Heather Black and husband, Micah of Peaster, Nathan McCarty and wife, Danielle of Peaster, and Warren McCarty and fiancé, Kristen of Weatherford; mother, Mary McCarty of Peaster; siblings, Richard McCarty and wife, Lindy of Lake Fork, and Denise Haney and husband, Monty of Peaster; his nine grandchildren, Aubrey Black, Carter Black, Hudson Black, Miles McCarty, Olivia McCarty, Riley McCarty, Kadilynn McCarty, Kinley Greer, and Bodhi McCarty; and his father and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Kathryn Wallis.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 14th, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St, in Weatherford. Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15th, 2021, at The Church in Peaster, located at 8601 FM 920, Weatherford, Texas 76485. Interment to follow at the Peaster Cemetery, 576 McClendon Rd, Weatherford, Texas 76088.
