Donald Ray Swancy

Donald Ray “Donnie” Swancy, age 62, of Weatherford, died Monday, August 4, 2014 at his residence.  Born December 8, 1951 in Weatherford, where he had lived most of his life.  Donnie, formerly of Las Vegas, was a radio broadcaster and former professor at UNLV.  He was a member of the Couts Memorial United Methodist Church, a Music Afficianato, Rock and Roll Historian and author of the text book, British Invasion 60’s Music”

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, August 8, 2014, in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in East Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, August 7, at the funeral home.
