Donna Marie Stewart

Donna Stewart, age 64, a Weatherford resident since 2007 died Sunday, June 12, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Donna graduated from Mars High School in Mars, PA. She married Jim Stewart in 1973 and moved to Florida. From Florida Donna and Jim moved to Ohio, New Mexico, Wyoming and Texas during their 43 years of marriage.
Donna enjoyed being involved with the community. She took great pride in her quilting and donated much of her work to charitable organizations within the local community. Donna was an active member of the Quilting Guild of Parker County and a member of the Senior Circle. Some of her work will be on display at the Parker County annual quilt show in September 2016. Donna was an animal lover. Her love for animals showed in the many dogs she raised including the most recent, Pepper and Chipper. She would visit the local animal shelter multiple times a week to make sure all the dogs got walked and brushed.
Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and is survived by her husband, Jim Stewart; her sons and daughters in law David & Elizabeth Stewart, Steven & Lachelle Stewart; her mother Kim Grimaldi; her sisters, Jackie Charlton, Maryann Burke, Gail Schweiger, and Patty Grimaldi; and her grandchildren, Gregory Sanchez and Mattie Stewart.
Donna was preceded in death by her oldest son, Jimmy Stewart; her father, John Grimaldi; her brother Wayne Grimaldi; and her sister, Carol Grimaldi.
A memorial Service will be held at Galbreaith – Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St., Weatherford, TX 76086 on Monday, June 20th at 10:00AM.
