Dorinda Lynn Whitworth

Dorinda Lynn Whitworth, 60, passed from this life on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Dorinda was born October 11, 1962, in Tarrant County, Texas to Herschel Watson and Johnetta (Young) Watson. After retiring from Weatherford ISD, Dorinda took to the beach where she enjoyed soaking up the sun and water. Dorinda loved spending time with her two granddaughters. She always put her family first and was willing to help in any way possible. Dorinda brought joy to everyone who was blessed enough to know her. Her caring spirit will be greatly missed.

Dorinda was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Tray Whitworth; father, Herschel Watson and brother, Donald Glen Watson.

Dorinda is survived by her daughter, Brandy Murphy and husband, Judd; daughter, Kara Harris and husband, Joe; granddaughters, Preslee Murphy and Ella Harris; mother, Johnetta Lee Watson; sister, LaDonna Tidwell and husband, Ricky; her significant other, Hayden Lynn Moore; and many more family members and friends.

The family suggests memorials be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance in memory of Dorinda Whitworth.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2023, at Parker County Sheriff's Posse Event Center, 2251 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford, Texas 76088. Burial will follow at Poe Prairie Cemetery, in Millsap, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas.
