Doris Fae Johns

Doris Fae Johns, 73, of Weatherford passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at her residence.  Doris was born January 1, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas to George P. and Lillie Fae Whisonant. She was an RN in Fort Worth retired from All Saints and later from Plaza Medical Center. Doris loved spending time with her family and enjoyed the outdoors. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John David Johns and a sister, Julie Hewell. Survivors include: daughters, Doris Ann Cole and husband Chris of Weatherford, Joyce Karen Fojtik and husband Chuck of Jacksboro; brothers, George “Whiz” Whisonant of Granbury, David Whisonant of Fort Worth and Charles Whisonant of Montana; grandchildren, Julie and Jennifer Cole, Elizabeth “Lilly”, Diana and James Brock.

Funeral service: 2 PM, Saturday March 19, 2016 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6-8 PM, Friday, March 18, 2016 at the funeral home.
