Dorothy Callahan, 86, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday evening, Aug. 19. 2009.
Memorial Service: There will be a “Celebration of Life” on Dorothy’s birthday in Princeton, Texas this October.
Memorials: Donations can be made to Peach Tree Place or the Manna Warehouse in Weatherford.
“Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord my soul to take.” Dorothy was born Oct. 27, 1922 in Princeton, Texas to Vernon and Estelle Callahan. She was a loving mother and grandmother to five children, nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Dorothy was very friendly and outgoing and never met a stranger. She would help anyone in need.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Peach Tree Place and the nurses and doctors at Weatherford Regional Hospital. You were all so wonderful to our mom.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Estelle and brother, Joe Callahan.
Survivors: Children, Sandra Hanke, Don Arnold , Denise Overstreet, Stephen Arnold and Lisa Mayo; sister and brother-in-law Charlyne and T.D. Mullikin; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews
