Dorothy D. Payne

Dorothy D. Payne, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in a local nursing home. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
     Dorothy was born on March 15, 1921 to John and Martha Haynes in Gould, Oklahoma. She moved from Roanoke, VA to Weatherford on October 2012. Dorothy was one of eleven children.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Essie, Iva, Thelma, Opal, Oma, and Arvella; brothers, Ovill, Willis, Joseph; husband, Arthur L. Payne, Jr.
     She leaves behind her daughter, Karen Baker and husband, Leo of Weatherford; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and eight great-great children; numerous nieces and nephews.
     The family would like to thank the staff of Peach Tree Place and Hospice Plus for the care given to their mother.
