Dorothy Ida Groh

March 28, 1922 — November 5, 2013

Dorothy Ida Groh, 91, of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in a local nursing facility.  Dorothy was born March 28, 1922 in Quincy, Illinois to Marriam Hildred and Oliver Elliott Waddell.
Mrs. Groh was a cook at the Pythian Home for twenty-three years prior to her retirement in 1992.  She was a long time resident of Weatherford and a member of Central Christian Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers and a great grandson, Jade Jarrett.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Burdett and husband, Charles of Lamesa, Texas and Jeannie Moore and husband, Bill of Weatherford; sons, Larry Odom- Groh and wife, Melanie of Louisville, Kentucky, Theodore Groh and wife, Lanelle of Bossier City, Louisiana and Garland Groh and wife, Sandra of Weatherford; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday at Central Christian Church.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Poe Prairie Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Jade Jarrett Educational Foundation, 2 McWhorter Place, Wolfforth Texas 79382 or Central Christian Church in Weatherford, Texas.
Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


 Funeral Service:  2 PM Friday at Central Christian Church. 
Visitation: 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. 
Burial: Poe Prairie Cemetery.
