Dorothy Jean Baumhardt

Dorothy Jean Baumhardt, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, in Fort Worth.
 
Dorothy was born October 5, 1938 in Lometa, Texas, to Dewey and Melba Brooks. With her two kids in tow, she moved to Weatherford in 1973 where it remained her home until her passing. Dorothy had many talents and many roles as a secretary and executive assistant throughout the years. In her retirement and in more recent years, she was the office manager for 20+ years with Bagwell Studio, along with a loving caregiver of her beloved Aunt Audrey and many other blessed souls.
 
Her family was always at the center of her love and attention. She had many friends and never met a stranger. Her vivacious spirit and personality will resonate in everyone she ever met and her shared “I love yous” will keep her memory alive forever. Dorothy was a collector of many things. She loved her cats, teapots and dolls, found great pleasure in working puzzles, and sharing old family photographs and stories. Dorothy was a wonderful conversationalist and could talk to anyone. She was loved by many and will be very sadly missed by all.
 
She leaves behind to cherish her memories a daughter, Pamela Marie Miller and her husband, Kevin of Fort Worth, along with her two grandchildren, Paige and Kolton; son, Roger Alec Smethers and his wife, Judy, of Monroeville, Alabama; siblings: Gary Brooks and wife, Frances, of Fort Worth, Linda Beth Bagwell and husband, J.A., of Weatherford, and Kelly Brooks and wife Shari, of Paradise.

Visitation will be from 6-8pm Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the funeral
home. Funeral service will be at 2pm Monday, July 8, 2013, at
Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, followed by burial at East Greenwood
Cemetery.
