Dorothy Jo Pearce, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2014.
Mrs. Pearce was born on January 6, 1939, in Fort Worth. She was a loving and faithful Christian, a virtuous woman as the Bible speaks of in Proverbs 31. She found joy in being a wife, mother and grandmother who loved the Lord and served him daily. Dorothy loved spending time with her family, reading the Bible, going to church, sewing, and quilting. As a Sunday school teacher, educator, and coach, she blessed a countless number of lives. Saved at an early age, she was a lifelong member of the Church of God.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Melvin Pearce; daughters, Kimberly Fincher and husband, Tommy, Misti Adams and husband, Matt; and grandchildren, Autumn Fincher, Hunter Fincher, Reid Adams, and Cade Adams
On Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Whitt Cemetery, family and friends gathered for a beautiful, graveside service to celebrate her life and to bring glory to God.
Graveside 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Whitt Cemetery. Visitation 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 28th at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
