Douglas Paxton Minor, Jr.

Douglas Paxton Minor, Jr., 87, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 in a local nursing facility. Doug was born March 18, 1927 in Dallas, to Douglas and Grace Minor. He owned and operated Doug’s Shoes in Weatherford for 19 years. Doug was a member of Willow Park Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mildred E. Minor and two sons, Paul Minor and Garland Smith. Doug is survived by his daughter, Debbie Merrill and husband Gene of Weatherford; sister, Sandra Palmer of Corsicana; grandchildren, John Merrill and wife Taylor, Kimberly Merrill, Richard, Kathy and Gary.

Funeral: 2 PM, Tuesday December 23, 2014 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Interment: Curtis Cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
