Dr. Charles William George

Dr. Charles William George, 80, of Weatherford, Texas, formerly of Cleburne, passed from this life late on Wednesday evening, September 30, 2020, in Granbury, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 P.M., on Friday, October 2, 2020, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 3, at 11 A.M., at North Side Baptist Church, 910 N. Main Street, in Weatherford. Burial will be Saturday afternoon at Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne

George was born on July 9, 1940, in Cleburne, Texas to Eugene and Stella George. He married Leta Huneycutt on July 26, 1963 and together had two sons, Chandler and Darren. George graduated from Texas Chiropractic College. Dr. George was a chiropractor for over 37 years in Duncanville where he was affectionately known as the “man with golden hands.” He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church. Most of all, Dr. George will be remembered for being a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Dr. George is survived by his wife, Leta; his sons, Dr. Chandler Lee George (Sherry) and Dr. Darren Keith George (Lisa); his granddaughter, Ashley George; and by his sisters, Faye Moore, Donna Keller, and Judy Shelton.

In addition to his parents, Dr. Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth George.
